Privacy policy

Gutterfold · Last updated: October 29, 2026

Gutterfold is a reader for comics and manga you already own. The developer does not collect, receive, or share any data about you or your reading.

What the app does not do

• No accounts with the developer.
• No analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
• No third-party SDKs that collect data.

Data that stays between you and your own services

• Your servers. When you add a Komga server or OPDS catalog, the app connects directly from your device to that server using the address and credentials you enter. Reading progress is sent to your Komga server only. The developer never sees this traffic. Your server's own privacy practices apply.
• Local files. Books you open or import are read on your device and are not uploaded anywhere.
• Downloads and settings. Offline books, thumbnails, reading positions, and preferences are stored on your device.

iCloud

If you are signed in to iCloud, your server list and settings sync between your devices through Apple's iCloud key-value storage, and server passwords sync through iCloud Keychain. This data is stored in your iCloud account, is managed by Apple, and is not accessible to the developer. If you prefer, turn iCloud off for the app in the system Settings.

Purchases

The optional "Unlimited Reading" purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether the purchase is active.

Children

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Content you read comes from sources you choose.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
